Black Forest

Black Forest is a series of wooded mountains in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. It is bordered by the Rhine Valley to the west and south, the highest peak is the Feldberg with rising 1,493 meters (4,898 feet), the region almost a rectangle 160 kilometers (99 miles) and the expansion of up to 60 km (37 miles).



Black Forest consists of a cover of sandstone on top of a core group of gneiss and granite, previously not involved with the tectonic evolution of the nearby mountains of the regiment. Later during the middle Eocene period and cracking affected the region and cause the formation of the Rhine Graben, through the participation of the glacial period, and has black forest cover by glaciers.

Black Forest occupies part of the Continental Divide between the Atlantic Ocean drainage basin (drained by the Rhine) and the Black Sea drainage basin (drained by the Danube)

Kandel (1,241 meters (4,072 ft)), the highest mountain in the Black Forest Central
Hornisgrinde ((1,164 meters (3,819 ft)), the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest
Administratively Black Forest completely belong to the state of Baden-Wurttemberg and includes the cities of Pforzheim, Baden-Baden and Freiburg as well as the following areas Chrissy. Lines in the north, Rastatt and Kalev; in the middle: Froendashtadt, Ortinaikris, and Rottweil; in the South: Amendengjin, Schwarzwald-bar, the City of Zh and Dasht.



Black Forest consists mostly of pine and fir trees, and on her head a mixture of European fir Mother imported and American spruce and white pine, Douglas.
